Who is behind the Herman brand?

My name is Kornelija Herman, and I am the person behind the Herman brand.
I am the mother of a teenager who is an inexhaustible source of ideas and often names my new products. I have been thinking about design for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by creative parents, grandparents, colours, and handmade items, so creating has always been a natural part of my life.
I started making fashion accessories when I enrolled in the Faculty of Textile Technology, combining leather and wood, and later expanded the collection with bracelets and small handmade pieces. Over time, my work evolved, but it remained true to the idea of thoughtful and slow design.
In recent years, I have increasingly turned towards nature, slow fashion, recycling, and creating with as little waste as possible. I believe in conscious production and pieces that last.
I am an introvert, and I create in a sun-drenched attic, surrounded by colours, peace, and music. This is where my small works come to life.
Sometimes I take a longer break from creating fashion accessories. Not because I've given up, but because I believe one shouldn't create at all costs. I don't work by a calendar or expectations. I create when I have something to say. When an idea matures and when I feel that the piece makes sense. During these periods of silence, I continue to learn, research, observe, filling myself with new thoughts and experiences. And it is precisely then that the foundations for the next collection are laid.
And when I'm not making fashion accessories, I'm still working. I research healthy desserts, solve Rubik's Cube, read, care about environmental issues, rack my brain with math problems, explore Asian cuisine, calm down with my two cats, and, of course, occasionally bore my child with advice.
I am a person who creates when she feels she has something to give.
